Not many people know that BENZAITEN comes from SARASWATI in India. BENZAITEN has changed her figure in Japan and now worshipped as the goddess of wealth, but originally, SARASWATI is the goddess of ART.
Beginners welcome! It might help if you could study the dance in advance with this DVD. (http://www.amazon.com/Special-Interest-Benzaiten-Exercise-JVDD-1563/dp/B00HI384Q4)

2015 was really hectic for me, but we successfully finished organising Odisha Biennale (odishabiennale.com/) and also I had the luck to perform Odissi dance in front of Mr. Modi and Mr. Abe, the 2 prime ministers of India and Japan. The venue was also very pretty at the Taj Gateway hotel in a small palace outdoor. (please refer the link below for more detail)
This year is my 20th anniversary after I started Indian Classical Dance ODISSI in India. I've know as slowpoke since childhood, but still, some changes in life have happened. So this year would be a changing year for me, hopefully!!!
１０年前の日本大使館での公演(my dance performance 10 years back in 2006)
After all, I thought it is essential to team up with those people that you respect, no matter if you gel with them or not, to organise a festival. And you must express yourself without being self-assertive, to avoid any misunderstanding. Very necessary to communicate with each participants, considering diversity of the artists from totally different background and culture.
I enjoyed thoroughly at the same time exhausted too, and I will concentrate on my solo performances for the next few months this year, and of course I am working on the preparation of ODISHA BIENNALE 2015.
If you are interested in participating in ODISHA BIENNALE 2015, please write to us (earlier the better) to email@example.com.
Well, still 3 days to go, but HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY to you all!!!
I had tried to escape from the dreadful heat in Odisha by travelling to Bangalore and to Japan... but obviously I came back too early,,, 44℃ in Odisha in the daytime till today!!
When I came back from Japan, a new curtain was set in the open kitchen space. If you sprinkle water on this curtain, the draft of hot breeze flowing into the house is cooled by the wet blind. The breeze coming into the house catches the wonderful fragrance and diffuses it in the house leaving the house smelling lovely and feeling cool.
It is made of BENA CHELO (Khus Khus) in Odia, Chrysopogon zizanioides, commonly known as vetiver. This commonly known Khus Khus Curtain cools down the house temperature and has wonderful fragrance but a lot of particle comes out when you roll it up and down.
